PrayerMinder-pp V1.1

PURPOSE
  The purpose of this software for the palm pilot is to help
Muslims mind their prayers.  It displays:

 - The Islamic prayer times for the present day, anywhere 
   on the planet Earth.
 - Islamic (Hijri) date (approximate, but adjustable).
 - The direction of Qiblah, and aditionally, can be used 
   to find North and Qiblah by pointing the Pilot
   toward the sun.

It also allows you to set alarms for any
of the prayers, and also for Tahajjud and Shurooq (sunrise).

NOTE: Due to a limitaion in the Palm Pilot, the alarm
times can only be updated when the program is running.
Therefore, whenever PrayerMinder is launched, it
automatically adjusts the alarm timings if prayer
times change.
  So, if you use alarms, you should LAUNCH PREAYERMINDER
EVERY FEW DAYS, so that the alarm warnings will get
updated. Otherwise, alarms will be played and will popup
in a dialog, but the alarm times will not be updated to
match the prayer times.


TO INSTALL
1. Please un-install any version prior to v0.4 by
   running the memory application and tapping Delete Apps,
   then selecting PrayerMinder, then tapping Delete..
2. Backup your old PrayMindDB.PDB database just to be safe.
   The databse can be found in the Palm/[user name]/Backup folder.
   On windows the Pal folder is usually found under
   C:\Program Files folder.
3. Install PrayMind.prc using the install tool that came
   with your Pilot.
4. Install PrayMindDB.PDB only if you have not installed v0.4 or
   later version.
5. Launch PrayerMinder by tapping on its icon. PrayerMinder
   V1.0 will automatically upgrade the older database
   PrayMindDB.PDB.
6. Please use the menu button on the silkscreen to access 
   configurable parameters.

MAILING LIST
Please also join the mailing list so you will be
informed of new releases. The mailing list will hardly
be used because the author is also busy with his regular
work, and cannot devote al his time to improving this
product.

This program is destributed as a package consisting

 PrayMindDB.PDB	- the preferences and locations database
 locations.txt	- contains coordinates etc. for many cities
 ReadMe.txt	- this file
 mathlib.prc	- required math library

  - OS 3.1 or later

v0.5 (13 May 1999) Fourth release
 1. Fixed incorrect Asr time close to the equator.

v0.4 (13 April 1999) Third (Alpha) release
 1. Fixed incorrect Asr time in southern hemisphere.
 2. Added multiple location selection ability.
 3. Qiblah finder is now accessible by tapping the compass on the
    main screen.
 4. Changed displayed name from PrayerMinder to PrayMind so it
    fits with the other icons.
 5. Added automatic backup of modified database to Backup
    directory on HotSync.
 6. Added enough fields in the database so next update won't need a
    un-install and re-install next time.
 7. Improved Fajr/Isha twilight angle selection box.

v0.3 (24 November 1998) Second (Alpha) release
 1. Modified to use C/C++ classes and OOP techniques
 2. Added separate twilight angle selection for Isha from Fajr.
 3. Added Qiblah direction display on main screen
 4. Added menu item "Qiblah..." which brings up a screen
    showing Qiblah and North directions if you point
    the Pilot toward the sun.
